In support of the wire EDM operations, Americut provides conventional machining and grinding along with engineering and design consultation.

Each prototype project begins with a thorough review by an engineer who will advise on part modifications to ensure the design maximizes tool and die production capability and part functionality. Our AutoCAD and advanced CAD/CAM Mecatool technology allows us to quickly transfer drawing files into programmable EDM and CNC equipment.

Our streamlined fabrication process uses CNC milling and turning for all machining that does not require the precision EDM set-ups. We perform jig, surface and cylindrical grinding to meet finishing design requirements. The dimensional integrity of each part is inspected and documented with a quality control process that includes 1st article inspections and CMM equipment.
